
A Laurel woman who stole household items and checks from her ex-husband while he was in the hospital will spend some time behind bars.
Pamela Lou Jordan, 49, was ordered to serve three years in prison after pleading guilty in Jones County Circuit Court to grand larceny and uttering forgery. She will also have to spend two years under post-release supervision with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and pay a total of $6,059.98 in court costs and fines. That includes restitution of $1,744.99 from the stolen items and $1,549.99 in checks that were forged to Cowboy Maloney, Diket Drugs, Jefferson Medical Clinic, South Central Regional Medical Center and Jordan’s daughter and mother, said Assistant District Attorney Dennis Bisnette.
