The funnyman added that he and his wife want to be surprised but he has been thinking of names for the child.
Jimmy explained: 'So far, I’ve come up with two: No. 1 Dyson after the vacuum or Gelatin with a J. No? That’s exactly what my wife said.'
'So - there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on. Congratulations to me. I’m hosting the Oscars and I had sex. Two things as a teenage boy I never thought would be possible.'

Kimmel has older children from his first marriage: son Kevin and daughter Katie.
Meanwhile, Jimmy didn't disappoint with his roasting of Matt Damon as he opened the Academy Awards Sunday night in Hollywood.
Explaining that he'd been advised to try and bring people together during the telecast from the Dolby Theatre, he said: 'I'd like to bury the hatchet with someone I've had issues with ... Matt Damon.'
'When I first met Matt, I was the fat one,' Kimmel stated as the audience roared with laughter and the camera panned to a dejected looking Damon.

Dejected: Damon, sitting with wife Luciana Barroso, looked downcast as Kimmel continued: 'When I first met Matt, I was the fat one'
For 11 years, Kimmel , 49, and Damon, 46, have been engaged in a very public feud after the late night host 'banned' Damon from his ABC late night show.
He'd hinted at what was coming when shortly before the awards ceremony kicked off, he tweeted a photo showing himself in his dressing room watching Damon being interviewed on the Oscars red carpet.
He captioned the pic: 'Dead man walking the red carpet. #Oscars.'

It's on! Kimmel tweeted this pic of himself in his dressing room ahead of the telecast watching Damon being interviewed on the Oscars red carpet

Ouch! Kimmel explained Damon had passed on starring in nominated best picture Manchester By The Sea. 'He turned it over to his childhood friend Casey Affleck and made a Chinese ponytail movie instead and that movie The Great Wall went on to lose $80 million dollars'

His loss is my gain: Casey Affleck, who was seated in front of Damon and who is nominated for best actor for Manchester By The Sea, laughed heartily as Kimmel roasted the star

Roasted: Damon, 46, failed to see the funny side while everyone around him roared with laughter
Kimmel continued to speak about Damon in his monologue: 'He's a selfish person. Those of you who work with him know this.'
But, he said, the actor should be recognized for one unselfish act - letting Casey Affleck take the leading role in the film Manchester By The Sea that went on to earn six Oscar nominations including best actor.
Damon served as a producer on the film that's also up for best picture but while originally slated to star in it, he had to pass due to scheduling conflicts.

'He turned it over to his childhood friend Casey Affleck and made a Chinese ponytail movie instead and that movie The Great Wall went on to lose $80 million dollars.'
The roasting of Damon became a running theme during Kimmel's first time hosting the Academy Awards.
He ran a pre-taped segment where he was seated along in a movie theatre watching the actor's 2011 film We Bought A Zoo, that also failed to be a box office hit.
Kimmel commented on Damon's poor acting and lack of flare with dialogue.

Despite Kimmel's best efforts, Damon managed to make it onto the Oscar stage with his best buddy Ben Affleck
After the video, the show announcer welcomed on stage presenter Ben Affleck and 'a guest.'
Of course the 'plus one' was Damon who couldn't believe he was being publicly dismissed.
The pair, who won an Oscar for their first feature film Good Will Hunting at the 1998 Academy Awards, were there to present the Oscar for best screenplay.
However, every time Damon opened his mouth to speak, the orchestral music started to soar in an effort to drown him out.
The camera then panned to show Kimmel conducting and encouraging the musicians to play louder and louder.

However, every time Damon opened his mouth to speak as the duo announced the nominees for best screenplay, the music soared to drown him out

It turned out Kimmel had taken over the orchestra and was conducting the musicians to play as loudly as possible

Damon did get a little payback. As the Oscars host walked down the aisle during one segment, Damon stuck out his foot and tripped him up

Damon looked the picture of innocence afterwards
It's the first time that ABC late night host Kimmel has hosted the Oscars, although he did host the Primetime Emmys last September.
While it's become something of a tradition for the Oscars telecast to open with a pre-taped tongue-in-cheek, the 2017 telecast kicked off with Justin Timberlake rocking a song and dance routine.
Accompanied by a group of dancers, he made his way from the lobby through the audience to the stage as Hollywood's A-list jumped to their feet to dance and clap along to his Oscar-nominated original song Can't Stop The Feeling from the animated movie Trolls.

'Hollywood, you look so lovely tonight. But do you feel lovely tonight?' he shouted out.
The crowd roared back.

Kimmel also took aim at President Trump in a politically-charged monologue that, he said, was being broadcast live to 'more than 225 countries that now hate us.'
The 49-year-old explained that 'Hollywood doesn't discriminate based on countries someone comes from.'
'We discriminate against people based on their age and weight.'
As for the year in movies, he said progress had been made.
'Black people saved NASA and white people saved jazz,' he said.

City lights: Kimmel performed his opening monologue on a stage dressed to present a city skyline with silver skyscrapers
And in another dig at Trump, who had tweeted about Meryl Streep being 'overrated' after her Golden Globes speech, he mentioned that the actress, who is nominated for her 20th Oscar, was there in the audience.
'Meryl Streep has phoned it in in 50 films over the course of her lackluster career,' he joked.
Kimmel then invited the audience to give her a round of applause and she got a standing ovation.

Respected star: Kimmel then invited the audience to applaud Streep who is nominated for her 20th Oscar, and she was given a standing ovation
As Kimmel pointed out, you can't have an evening about movies without candy like the sort of sweets you get at a movie theatre.
He announced: 'Red vines and junior mints will appear from the sky raining down on your for your delight.'
And small bags started parachuting down from the top of the auditorium.
'Don't hurt each other, Kimmel cautioned as the stars grabbed at the descending candy.
